The Kalinago
arrived in the Caribbean from South America before Europeans but after the Taino. They occupied the Windward Islands, making frequent trips back to the Orinocco region. They were sometimes in conflict with the Taino who occuppied the Greater Antilles and claimed to have dominated the Igneri, another pre-Columbian people.
The Kalinago people are mostly found in Dominica but there are small numbers still living on other islands.
